Greetings to each of you. Here we are almost 45 years past graduation. Who would have ever thought that so many years could have possibly gone by. I have been married to my college sweetheart for 42 1/2 years. We have 2 grown married children, Deanna and Brian and have 4 beautiful grandchildren ranging in age from 13 years to 2 months old. We have 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons which are the light of our lives. I have always lived in Lincoln since graduating from Union College. Larry and I were married shortly have graduation and never left. Larry was a Lincoln firefighter for 33 year and is now retired and I am still employed and work at the Arthritis Center of Nebraska in the Business Office in which I have a variety of duties. My job is never boring and I really enjoy working. I was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise the children until they started grade school and then worked part-time until they both entered into Church School for their high school years. Then I worked full-time to pay for tuition.
We enjoy traveling and have a great trip planned this summer with 3 other couples. We are going to take the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer train and will see some of the most beautiful areas of Canada. We have an old street rod which is a 1930 Ford Coupe which has a 1932 front end. Larry calls it a "poor mans 32". We have taken it to several car shows and it has won awards. We have a lot of fun taking it out for rides. The grandchildren love going for a ride.
We are animal lovers and have passed on that love to our children each of which have several cats and dogs., We are down to just one cat after having as many as 4 along with an occasional dog through the years.
I love to cook, especially dessert, nothing fancy just plain basic cakes, pies and cookies. Larry does much of the cooking of meals since I'm still working. It is so great to come home from work and have dinner on the table. I am very spoiled and blessed to have such a husband.
I am looking forward to the 45th reunion and am planning on seeing all of you there!
